Savvas Christou appointed Director of Coaching

Waverley Old Boys Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Savvas Christou as Director of Coaching for 2015.

Savva returns to Waverley Old Boys FC following a three year sabbatical in the UK. Sav originally joined WOBFC in 2008 as a strength and conditioning coach within the AAW’s teams. The following year his role transitioned to the Premier League Men’s squad and in 2010 was appointed Premier League Reserve coach. His side were crowned Grand Final winners and then in 2011 they won the league with an impressive 15 wins from 18 games — with the coach earning the 2011 ESFA Coach of the Year award.

Going forward, Savva will be working closely with all of the coaches across the Club to establish and implement a best practice structure, assisting all coaches where necessary to benefit and enhance the long-term goals of the Club.

Division 3 who train on Tuesday's, Thursday's and play Sundays. Coached by Ryan Hall

Division 4 this team is a new team to the club who won't be training. It's a team for the players who have too many commitments and can't train but still want to turn up and play every Sunday.
